Chai Gin & Tonic Cocktail

chai gin and tonic cocktail, ceylon tea, apple slices, cinnamon sticks

Ingredients:

Chai Syrup:

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup loose chai tea
  • 1 cup sugar
 

Chai Gin and Tonic:

  • 3 tbsp Gin
  • 2 tbsp Chai syrup
  • Tonic water
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Star anise
  • Nutmeg
  • Apple slices
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

Chai Syrup:

  1. Bring apple cider, loose chai tea, and sugar to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Once cooled, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the chai tea leaves.
  5. Transfer the chai syrup to a container and refrigerate until chilled.

Chai Gin & Tonic:

  1. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  2. Add 3 tbsp of gin
  3. Pour in 2 tbsp of chai syrup, adjusting to taste.
  4. Top with tonic water and stir gently to combine.
  5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, star anise, a sprinkle of nutmeg, and slices of apple.
