ceylon green tea matcha smoothies

Ingredients:

For the Smoothie:

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons green tea matcha powder
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker consistency)

For Toppings:

  • Granola
  • Fresh berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • Sliced banana
  • Chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Ensure the banana and mango are frozen before starting. This provides a thicker and creamier consistency to the smoothie bowl.
  2. Blend the Smoothie:
    • In a blender, combine the green tea matcha powder, frozen banana slices, frozen mango chunks, Greek yogurt, and milk.
    • If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add honey or maple syrup to taste.
    • Optional: Add ice cubes for a thicker consistency.
  3. Blend Until Smooth:
    • Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed to ensure everything is well incorporated.
  4. Check the Consistency:
    • Adjust the thickness of the smoothie by adding more milk if it’s too thick or more frozen fruit if it’s too thin.
  5. Pour into a Bowl:
    • Pour the green tea matcha smoothie into a bowl.
  6. Add Toppings:
    • Sprinkle a generous amount of granola over the smoothie surface.
    • Arrange fresh berries, sliced banana, and any other desired toppings on top of the granola.
    • Optionally, add chia seeds or flaxseeds for added texture and nutrition.

This smoothie bowl is not only visually appealing but also packed with the antioxidants from green tea matcha and a variety of nutrients from the fruits and toppings. Adjust the ingredients and toppings based on your taste preferences and dietary preferences.
